State Requirements & Documentation

Class “D” Security Officer License

 

There are three ways to submit your Class “D” Security Officer State Application and SECURITY RESOURCES Training Academy’s Course Completion Certification:

 

Online Submission:

SELECT HERE to be taken directly to State site for Online State Application option. (Designer NOTE: use https://laso.fdacs.gov/ at “Select Here”)

 

In-Person:

Visit the a State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Regional Office.

At the Regional Offices, they will provide the following services:

    • Receive your State Application;
    • Collect State Application Payments;
    • License Photographing;
    • Fingerprinting

 

NOTE: The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, Regional Office will issue a TEMPORARY Class “D” Security Officer License while the Application is being processed.

 

This TEMPORARY Class “D” Security Officer License allows the Applicant to apply for agency employment immediately.

NOTE: Additional items such as fingerprinting, passport sized photo, payments, etc. must be included in the mail-out.

 

Class “G” Statewide Firearm License

 

There are two ways to submit your Class “G” Statewide Firearm License State Application and Completion Certification:

 

In-Person:

Visit a State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Regional Office. At the Regional Offices, they will provide the following services:

    • Receive your State Application;
    • Collect State Application Payments;
    • License Photographing;
    • Fingerprinting.

 

NOTE: The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing, Regional Office will issue a TEMPORARY Class “G” Statewide Firearms License while the Application is being processed.

 

Additionally, a physician provided physical and a psychological exam with be required.

 

This TEMPORARY Class “G” Statewide Firearm License allows the Applicant to apply for agency employment immediately.
